All sites from gemeente.groningen.nl are involved, all in all about 25. We have taken part in this tendering in partnership with Pareto. This partnership allows us to service the demand for capacity. Together, we have about 12 Plone developers available, wich is a plus on projects such as this. The Municipality is a large project, and we're glad we got it. We like it even better because we're based in Groningen, and co-operation with the Municipality has been smooth. For our Frisian board of directors, it's a good step towards world domination.
So far, we have - among other things - created an interface to the Municipality's Document management System and their LDAP database. A large part of the content has been migrated. These were parts of the Proof Of Concept.
Users and visitors won't see much difference, although it will be possible in the future for citizens to log in on the site. And because of Plone's complete and modern user interface, managing content will be a lot easier.
